Lyon AI Assistant

Lyon is HyperQuote's AI assistant, and its capabilities depend on where you use it. On the public website, Lyon is a public website assistant only: it explains public HyperQuote information and points you to the right pages. It does not access accounts, check orders, look up quotes, create material lists, or submit requests from website chat.

01

What Lyon can help with

On the website, Lyon operates as a public navigation and information assistant. It answers public questions about HyperQuote, helps you navigate the Market, docs, support, and portal login pages, and explains the correct public channel for the request. Ask "Where can I browse cement?" or "Do you deliver to 6th of October City?" and Lyon responds with public information and the right place to go.

In the customer portal, signed-in users get deeper account-specific workflows:

  • Material ordering — "I need 400 bags of OPC 50kg cement" translates into a structured material list ready for your review. No forms, no product codes — just describe what you need in plain language.
  • Status lookups — "Where is my delivery?" or "What is the status of my order?" returns real-time information pulled from the order tracking system.
  • Reordering — "Reorder what I got last month" pulls your previous order, creates an editable draft, and asks for confirmation before submitting.
  • General questions — "What are your payment terms?" or "How does the quoting process work?" returns accurate, contextual answers.

Those account-specific capabilities are portal-app capabilities only. Website Lyon does not run them.

02

How to use Lyon

Lyon appears as a floating chat button on the website and as the centered primary interface in the customer portal. Type in Arabic or English — Lyon detects the language and responds in kind.

On the website, Lyon only guides visitors through public pages. In signed-in portal workflows, actions that change purchasing data produce an editable draft for review before anything is submitted.

Conversations are preserved across sessions. You can return to a previous discussion, reference past requests, and build on earlier work.

03

AI estimation tool

In the portal app, Lyon includes a project estimation capability. Describe a project — "Building a 3-floor apartment, 200 square meters per floor" — and Lyon researches typical material requirements, generates an estimated material list with quantities, and presents it for your review.

This estimation tool carries clear disclaimers: "Verify with your engineer" appears on every AI-generated estimate. Lyon frames these outputs as starting points for discussion, not as engineering specifications. The estimates are editable — adjust quantities, swap materials, add or remove items before submitting as a quote request.

04

What Lyon does not do

On the website, Lyon does not access private account data, order records, quote records, payment information, or delivery tracking. In signed-in portal workflows, it still cannot modify confirmed orders, make purchasing decisions on your behalf, override pricing, negotiate on your behalf, or access other customers' data.

Behind the scenes, Lyon routes queries through a multi-tier AI system that uses the most appropriate model for each request: lightweight models for simple lookups and classification, faster models for conversational responses in Arabic, and more capable models for complex reasoning like project estimation. This keeps responses fast while maintaining quality where it matters.
